Creating The Design

The inspiration for tread, surprisingly, came from the tread marks left by the boss’ sleek Porsche 911 one winters, snow covered day.

After staring at the boss’ car our designer looked down and noticed the tread marks left in the snow by the Porsche. Trying to find a cross between the tyre tread and a cufflink our designer came up with this idea. After a few design ideas, one which included a rubber cufflink, our design team settled on the use of Platinum Plated with the black enamel, giving the cufflink definition and a glimpse of its origins.
